The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change's Radiation and Chemical Protection Department has carried out a campaign to safely dispose off the old devices used to measure radiation.
Under a campaign started two years ago, 11 old radiation measurements devices were exported during 2020 and 44 in 2021. So far this year, 16 devices are under Further, 16 other measuring devices are under the process of exporting during this year 2022.
The campaign implements the standards stipulated at the Environmental Protection Law no 30 for 2002 and its executive regulations no 4 for 2005, besides the international guidelines issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
