Doha: Strong wind and high seas are expected from tomorrow, January 20, until Tuesday evening.
Department of Meteorology issued a marine warning as the Northwesterly wind is expected to range between 12-24kt reaching 30kt at places at times. The sea height is predicted to rise ranging between 4-7ft reaching 8ft at times.
Meanwhile, in its daily report for Sunday, the department predicted that the weather will be moderate daytime with some clouds and will be cold by night. It warned of low horizontal visibility at some places at first.
Offshore, it will be scattered clouds at times, the report added.
Wind inshore will be southerly to southwesterly 05 to 15 knot turns to northwesterly by evening.
Offshore, it will be southeasterly to southerly 05 to 15 knot gusting 18 knot at north areas.
Visibility will be 4 to 8/2 kilometers or less at places at first.
Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet, rises to 4 feet at north areas. Offshore, it will be 2 to 4 feet, rises to 5 feet at north areas.
