The ministry also explained what is to be done if one receives a positive Covid-19 test result.
"If you receive a positive test result for Covid-19 and are asymptomatic or showing mild or moderate symptoms, you will be required to home isolate for a period of 10 days as follows: first five days - stay within your room at home and avoid contact with others in your household; and second five days: you may leave your room but you should wear a mask at all times when around other members of the household," the MoPH said.
Patients showing severe symptoms will be referred to one of the dedicated Covid-19 medical facilities to receive the medical care required.
The MoPH reiterated how people can protect themselves from Covid-19.
Every member of the community has an important role to play in the ongoing fight against Covid-19 through three main actions, the ministry stressed.
These are "getting vaccinated, including having the booster vaccine when you are eligible without delay; isolating yourself from other people if you have signs and symptoms of Covid-19 and getting tested if you wish; and adhering to the precautionary measures, including wearing of masks, social distancing and regular handwashing.
Anyone aged 12 years and above who had their second dose more than six months ago is eligible for the booster dose. It provides 75% protection against mild to moderate infection, and 90% protection against severe infection or death.
