"Art lies at the heart of Doha. The city is fast becoming a place where a plethora of art-related activities take place every year," the statement noted. "QIAF provides an international platform to artists in Qatar and from all over the world. The festival helps many international artists in gaining recognition. In 2010, Qatar was declared a cultural country of the region. The festival provides a good exposure to visiting artists to the beautiful country of Qatar."
During the festival days, events and activities such as a painting and sculpture exhibition, live painting symposium, artistic fashion show, masterclasses, cultural talks and panel discussion, Qatar cultural tour and a cultural dinner night have been planned from 10am to 10pm.
The five-day festival offers various benefits to participants, including promotion of their work, an opportunity for getting published in print, electronic, digital and social media, interaction with invited art collectors, art investors, potential buyers and more.
"As Qatar is becoming a hub of cultural and art related activities, more and more artist wants to come to the country," the statement adds.
Florence Bienniale, Italy, is the participating partner along with art galleries and other entities from around the globe, including Crislolart Galleries from Spain, 'Artmosphere' magazine from the US, Gallery 2+ from Mexico, Funun Arts from the UAE, Areme Art Gallery from Armenia, Iranian Art Gallery from Iran, Ethiopian Art Gallery from Ethiopia, Art Guest Agency from Russia and UFS in American University of Beirut from Lebanon.
