Doha: Weather inshore until 6am on Monday will be cold and partly cloudy, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.
Offshore, it will be partly cloudy with weak chance of light scattered rain at times to the south, the report added, warning of strong wind and high sea.
Wind inshore will be northwesterly at speed of 7 to 17 knot.
Offshore, it will be northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 14 to 24 knot, gusting to 32 knot at times.
Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometers.
Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet surging to 5 feet at times. Offshore, it will be 4 to 8 feet surging to 12 feet at times.
As reported in the morning, today's lowest temperature was recorded in Mesaieed and Turayna where the temperatures touched 11 degrees Celcius while in Doha it reached 14 degrees. Qatar Meteorology Department said that the perceived value is much less because of the continuous northwestern wind.
In Abu Samra the temperature hovered between 13 and 18 degrees while Al Wakrah recorded 14-19 and in Dukhan it was 14-17 respectively.
In an afternoon tweet the department predicted chance of rain “expected to return over the country on Tuesday evening until Wednesday”
