Starting from November 1 to December 19, 2022, the number of employees in the government sector will be reduced to 20% and 80% of employees will work remotely, with the working hours being from 7am to 11am.
This decision was announced by the Cabinet in accordance with the country's preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Official Spokesperson for the Government Communications Office (GCO), Mohammed Nuwaymi Al Hajri, highlighted these decisions in a video on the GCO Twitter account.
The security, military, health, and educational sectors are excluded from these decisions.
Meanwhile, it added that companies that operate in the private sector will conduct their business as usual.
