Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has announced banks' readiness to officially launch the mobile payment service, Google Pay, in the country after completing the necessary tests. "All global digital wallet services for cards, such as Apple Pay and Samsung Pay, are now accepted in Qatar," QCB said in a post on Twitter. This will enable visitors, especially during the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, to process and complete their digital payments, QCB added. On their part, banks in Qatar have issued statements on the launch of the Google Pay service in the country.
