Doha: Autumn has arrived in Qatar as September kicks off, serving as a transitional month between summer and winter.
During this season, the weather will gradually turn mild along with an increase in relative humidity.
According to Qatar Meteorology Department's monthly climate information, September will also bring an increase in the number of clouds. The chance of rain or thundery rain, especially in the afternoon, is also forecasted this month.
The wind will mainly blow in the eastern direction at light to moderate speed during this season.
The daily mean temperature this month is expected to be around 33.1 degrees Celsius. The lowest and highest temperature recorded in September was 20.3 degrees Celsius in 1964 and 46.2 degrees Celsius in 2001.
