Doha: A state of atmospheric instability is expected to continue affecting the country in the coming two days, reported Qatar Meteorology Department in a report.
This is due to an extension of a low-pressure system over the region which will reach its peak on December 10, Tuesday.
Partly cloudy skies are expected with a chance of rain of variable intensity extending gradually over most areas with it becoming thundery on Tuesday accompanied by strong wind and blowing dust and low visibility in some areas and high waves exceeding 8ft during thunderstorms.
Chance of rain is expected to continue until Wednesday morning, December 11, followed by fresh to strong Northwesterly wind causing a drop in temperatures where the minimum expected to reach below 15°C in some areas on December 12, Thursday dawn.
Qatar Meteorology Department in its report urged residents to take extra care, avoid going to sea during this period and to follow latest updates through its official social media accounts.
