Doha, Qatar: The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 extends an invitation to football enthusiasts and the general public to attend the unveiling ceremony of the tournament's official mascot. This event is scheduled for Friday, December 1, 2023, at 6:30 pm in Barahat Msheireb and is free and open to the public.
Hassan Al Kuwari, Marketing and Communications Executive Director of LOC, emphasized that the revelation of the official mascot is a significant milestone on the journey to the tournament. "I encourage everyone in Qatar to join us for the mascot unveiling, as anticipation builds among fans in Qatar and across the continent," said Al Kuwari. "The mascots will play a crucial role in the tournament experience, fostering a delightful connection between fans and the competition."
The mascot launch is set to occur with less than 50 days remaining until Qatar hosts the AFC Asian Cup for the third time, following successful hostings in 1988 and 2011.
Ticket sales for the tournament are ongoing, and fans can purchase tickets online through the official ticketing website. Prices for group stage match tickets start at 25 QAR, with a total of 51 matches scheduled across stadiums from January 12 to February 10, 2024.
