Hassan Khalifa al-Faihani, director of Municipal Services Affairs at Al Shamal Municipality, took part in the campaign alongside the participating security entities of the Ministry of Interior and the Internal Security Forces (Lekhwiya).

Al-Faihani explained that the campaign will continue one week during which all the abandoned vehicles spotted will be removed. He said that some of the owners of such vehicles have responded positively to the related awareness campaign and already removed their vehicles. He also called on the people to avoid leaving their vehicles neglected on public areas to avoid the involved adverse consequences according to the law.

The committee was formed according to the ministerial decision no 178 for 2020, headed by Brigadier General Ali Salman al-Mohannadi. It started its operation in September last year by removing abandoned vehicles at the Industrial Area.
