The Al Masrah Park at Corniche gets a new addition to its expanse with the latest installation, Doha Modern Playground.
The site-responsive playground is inspired by a group of key modernist buildings in Doha. The Doha Modern Playground features miniatures of six buildings in the country such as the Qatar Post, Qatar University, and Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel.
Chairperson of Qatar Museums HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, shared photos of the new installation on her Instagram page.
"Playgrounds are meant to be places of play and they inspire our children to create moments that last a lifetime," she captioned on the post.
Doha Modern Playground is made by British-Pakistani artist Shezad Dawood, in collaboration with the Doha-based architect Fatma Al Sehlawi.
