Doha: The Maritime Customs Department at Al Ruwais foiled an attempt to smuggle a huge amount of hashish into the country.
Customs Department said that the banned hashish was found hidden in wooden pallets of a vegetable shipment. A video was also shared by Customs on its Twitter account.
The total weight of the seized substance was 81 kg.

The authorities have been issuing continuous warnings against carrying illegal substances into the country.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
