Doha: Children are encouraged to learn about football at the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum’s upcoming “A Day at the Library” event.
The event, which will take place on August 10 from 4pm to 6.30pm at the museum’s library, will cover a variety of themes and include football practice and an art session inspired by the sports.
Participants will be able to tour the library and get an introduction to football books gallery, learn about hosting a famous footballer, how to do sports commentary, and conducting a survey, according to the museum.

The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum is also providing a number of educational programmes meant to increase knowledge and awareness of the history of sport. Its programmes impart knowledge through fun games and recreational activities.
“With a deep understanding of the relationship between a healthy mind and a healthy body, the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum offers a variety of ways to connect education to sport. Creating engaging programmes for teachers, students and families to enjoy at home or in the classroom is an essential part of what we do,” it said on its website.
Among the programmes are Guided tours for schools; School programmes which offer educational and sports activities from pre-K to grade 12 for all Qatar-based government and international schools; For teachers, wherein it offes a space for educators and museum guides to work together for creative teaching and learning.
Moreover, under its University programme, it develop educational programmes in cooperation with local and international universities in order to raise university students’ awareness of Olympic and sports culture; and Family programme, wherein it offers family-focused activities that encourage participants to learn about different sports through age-appropriate physical, cultural and art events.
